Organic nutmeg is extracted from the seed of the fruit named, Myristica fragrans, which has a fleshy outer layer. Myristicin is what gives nutmeg its uniquely sophisticated taste and aroma. Organic nutmegs produced in our Sri Lankan soil contain a high level of essential oil – 12% and has an intense aroma.
We export organically produced whole nutmegs as well as broken nutmegs and nutmegs with shell chips. Our manufacturing is done according to assured standards ensuring the products do not contain aflatoxin.
Organic Nutmeg Powder
Nutmeg powder is used to spice popular dishes such as the biryani and other spicy gravies. We produce organic nutmeg powder through fine grinding both including the shells and without the shells according to customer requirements.
